SIERRA LEONE ATTRACTIONS

OUTAMBA KILIMI NATIONAL PARK:

A Grand National park with a very diverse wildlife. The park is known among the tourists for its great wildlife including primates like buffalo, chimpanzees, monkeys, colobus monkeys, forest elephants, bongo antelopes and many more. The bird species with a great number of 150 is another alluring point of Outamba. Park is split into two sections; the Northern and the Southern section. The northern section has grasslands, rainforests, flood plains and rolling hills. The other section; the Kilimi section is much more flat and un- hustled so not really an interest of the audience. Overall, a good place to discover the core of nature.

TIWAI ISLAND:

If we say islands and beaches the signature attractions in Sierra Leone, then it would not be wrong because the islands and beaches in the country are worth watching due to their magnificent beauty and peace. Tiwai Island is among the few remaining tracts of ancient rainforest in West Africa. it covers an area of total 2 sq. km.  it is the most accessible and most notorious nature reserve of Sierra Leone. The astonishing range of flora and fauna of the island makes it more captivating towards its visitors.

LAKE SONFON:

Also called as Lake Confon is a free turquoise water mountain lake in Diang city of Sierra Leone. Lake Sonfon is considered prestigious among the locals carrying out cultural ceremonies along its shore. It is believed that the lake is intermittent in means of the amount of water in the dry season and also that there is a Djinn that lives in the lake. The lake is also a home to a number of animals and plants species. 102 animal species were collected from the lake.
